You've probably heard me say it a hundred times now - Fall is my favorite time of the year! And this year I am inspired by so many trends, colors, textures and cute new projects that I just had to share with you. Enjoy!
1. Smoky Lips are the new Smoky Eye
'Tis the season for dark, dramatic lips that make a bold statement. Cooler weather calls for a cool new look and switching out your lipsticks is a great way to channel that new energy.
These are a couple of my favorite lip colors to wear this fall.
1st Row - First I penciled in my entire lip using MAC Lip Pencil in Cherry, then I outlined my lip with MAC Lip Pencil in Chestnut and blended the dark color in with the red. It gives a really nice ombre effect, and since its a lip pencil, it's a matte finish that lasts all day.
2nd Row - I absolutely adore this liquid lipstick! This one is by Lime Crime, their Velvetine in Jinx. I also love to wear their Velvetine's in Salem and Wicked this time of the year too!
3rd Row - One of my favorite lip combinations - for this look I apply either MAC matte lipstick in Russian Red and layer Rimmel London's Kate 04 on top, or vice versa, depending on if I want more red or violet to show. Either way, it always looks so nice.
Also - shout out to Kristine at Amazing Lash Studio for giving me the most gorgeous lashes ever!
2. Long Bob
Spring 2016 brought the return of the shag, but as the months turn cooler, women are growing out their shorter styles and opting for long bobs. I'm so in love with the versatility and texture that the lob, or long bob, offers.
2016 is the year for 18k hair. The rose gold color trend was huge for spring, and it's still the number one requested hair color for fall. The fall season brings deeper and richer versions of this gorgeous color - Rose Copper gives me all those good hair vibes.
This is fun DIY project and a super cute way to accessorize your style. Channel fall and good vibes with these adorable fall inspired flower crowns. You can find them online, like on Etsy or at accessory stores, however I made mine with flowers I purchased from Michael's and hot glued them to a headband! It was so easy and they turned out so cute.
So there you have it, 5 different trends that I am totally inspired by this season. I hope you enjoyed this blog and found some inspo for yourself!
